Character Name: Keith
Canon: Viltron: Legendary Defender
Canon Point: Season 7/Episode 54 "The Feud!"
In-Game Tattoo Placement: Back of neck in this style.
Current Health/Status: Possibly a bit malnourished from being in space for so long trying to get back to Earth, but otherwise, he's in reasonably good shape physically. He will be alive and had just gone to sleep when entering the game.
Age: 21
Species: Human/Galra
History: Wiki
Personality: Noteworthy Positive Characteristics: Bravery. Above all else, Keith is a brave individual who won't be scared away from doing what he thinks is right. He will face down death itself to destroy the Galra or even sacrifice himself for the cause, if need be. Once he believes in a cause wholeheartedly, he will pursue it with everything he has -- this includes being a Paladin of Voltron, a member of the Blade of Marmora, and his willingness to sacrifice himself for his friends that has been shown throughout the series.
Loyalty. Once Keith has opened up to someone, he is loyal for life. He'll fight for them to any ends. This is clear in the way that he doesn't hesitate to save Shiro from Garrison custody, the way that he will try (in his own way) to encourage his team mates with unexpected sincerity, such as when he told Hunk that he admires him for his bravery.
Resourceful. Keith is able to make the most of his surroundings and generally, think quickly on his feet. He has learned how to use natural terrain to his advantage, as well as the weight of his vehicle to outrun enemy pursuit. He has the logic to work out tough situations as has been evident in his time served with the Blade of Marmora or in battle when he's instructing his fellow Paladins what to do.
Confidence. Keith knows where his abilities lie and has absolute confidence in them. He knows that he is an excellent pilot and he pushes himself to always better himself in both hand-to-hand combat and piloting his lion. Keith also knows where his strengths do not lie, whether or not this is accurate. He will openly say that he isn't as good of a leader as Shiro is and that he isn't entirely comfortable in the position, even if that is part of what makes him a trustworthy leader in the end.
Determination. Keith doesn't give up easily in any sense of the word. He will push through any situation, even if the odds feel overwhelming. This is very evident in his battle with the clone of Shiro who was being manipulated by magic into killing him. Despite the fact that it seemed whatever was left of the Shiro he knew and loved was gone, Keith recklessly tried to reach him anyway rather than just kill him. Not only that, but earlier on, when Keith underwent the Trial of Marmora in search of the truth of his heritage and his past, Keith pushed on unrelenting even if there was a very real chance of death. It's this single-minded determination that has seen him through many harsh situations.
Self-Awareness. Keith is very aware that he's not an easy person to get along with, nor is he the easiest person to get to know. But he does try and genuinely care for those around him, and though he can be short-tempered and unpleasant, there's a part of him that is very willing to participate in food fights or make goofy laser sounds with his friends. He isn't entirely stoic or cold and he shows this in short bursts often, as can be seen when he tells Shiro that he loves him or when he shows genuine concern for his fellow Paladins.
Noteworthy Negative Characteristics: Short Temper. Keith has a notoriously short temper. He gets frustrated easily and when pushed too far, will say harsh things to those around him. This can be seen clearly through the entirety of the series where he has lashed out at his fellow Paladins. One of the most recent examples is, while lost in space and slowly going mad, he tells Hunk that he doesn't know how to be a coward like him. He later apologizes and admits to admiring how Hunk stays even when he he's scared and remarks that's a true sign of bravery.
Impatient. While he is learning, patience doesn't come naturally to him. He can be rash and impulsive because of it. He has a tendency to be very single-minded and the 'Leap first, look later' type... if he ever remembers to look at all. On multiple occasions throughout the series Keith is told to hang back on missions but rushes ahead anyway because he thinks he has good reason to. He has tried to take Zarkon on alone in his first encounter. He has detonated explosives all in order to break Shiro out of Garrison custody, and even pushed his own team into a battle when they said they're not ready for it.
Stubborn. Keith can be very single-minded and refuse to give up, whether everyone around him thinks he should or not. This can be seen in the way that he stubbornly forces himself through the Trials of Marmora despite the beatings he receives, or the way he gets into fights when he's younger to the point he was facing being expelled. This can lead to the point where he seems almost single-minded, whether that's defeating the Galra, or stubbornly refusing to accept a leadership position.
Isolation Keith has a very real tendency to isolate himself. This is due to the fact that Keith grew up and spent most of his childhood alone. He's been shown to have been picked on as a child and this has led to trust issue and a worry that he'll be rejected due to either his Galran heritage or because of his lack of parents. He tends to keep his team at arm's length for a long time.
Noteworthy Values: Despite his prickly attitude, Keith is driven by a need to save others. He wants to be a hero, he doesn't want to see others in undue pain or suffering. He believes in complete dedication to his role as a paladin to the point where he doesn't even seem to know how to relax, or think he ought to allow himself to. Work is extremely important to him, even to the point where he may go overboard with it. Loyalty is a core need for him. It's not easily broken for him at all, even when Shiro's clone attempts to kill him while the clone is being controlled and manipulated. Likewise, he needs to be able to trust that he'll receive that same loyalty back to ever truly let his guard down.
Abilities/Powers/Weaknesses & Warping: Military combat & Martial Arts. Keith has at least two years of formal training at the Galaxy Garrison, additional training during his time spent at the cast, and experience while he served with the Blade of Marmora. It's also safe to say that Keith probably received a fair amount of training while traveling with his mother over two years. This means that Keith is skilled in hand-to-hand combat, second perhaps only to Shiro. He is physically strong and fast, emphasizing agility on the battlefield.
Piloting. A natural prodigy when it comes to piloting, Keith relies on instinct more than learned skilled. Intuitively knowing how to pilot and what to do sets him apart from others. He was top of the class back at the Garrison and has been trusted with tasks such as navigating through asteroids or flying too close to black holes.
Explosive and Diversionary Tactics. Keith knows how to distract others to reach his goal fairly easily. He has been shown to have a good grasp of when to use explosives to draw away attentions and to know how to move stealthily through situations. One example of this is when he detonates explosives to divert attention away from Shiro's crash site, showing he has clear knowledge of how and when to apply them.
Galran Heritage. Because of his half-Galran and half-human, Keith is able to use and access technology made for Galrans specifically. This means that he can open doors and locks fairly easily. He can also activate Galran computers and technology where others can't.
Swords. Although still learning, Keith is proving to be a very skilled swordsman. This is shown in his skill with his Marmora blade that generally appears to be a small, double-edged knife but can change into a larger, single-edged blade whe activated by his Galran heritage. His bayard also transforms into a katar that he is shown to be very resouceful with.
Psychic Link Keith, like all the other Paladins of Voltron, shares a psychic link with the Black Lion, which means he can not only summon it to him in times of need, but communicate with it. This is done through images and feelings that will flash through his mind. I suspect this will need to be taken away/removed from him.
Weaknesses Keith isn't without weaknesses. A rash temper that has him often running into danger, a tendency to want to do everything alone, etc. Physically, he is not invulnerable to damage. He can still be injured in very human ways.
Inventory: Just the clothes on his back and his bayard.

Are you comfortable with prominent elements of fourth-walling?: Definitely!
What themes of horror/psychological thrillers do you enjoy the most?: Psychological horror is my jam, and just anything that gets characters thinking and/or doubting themselves and others. Things that deal with extreme isolation or forcing characters to make choices between two terrible options that makes them question themselves.
Is there anything in particular you absolutely need specific content warnings for?: Not really!
